Rugs by artist Mona Eckhoff Sørmo are renderings of her abstract paintings-an example of art transformed and of its capacity to inform objects of everyday use. Sørmo incorporates striking images from the natural and cultural world-decomposing leaves, marks on a house wall-combining memory and impressions of light, color and texture in her work.
